To appear on “NYC TV PROFILES” 
With season 6 of “American Idol” gearing up for this years finale, the celebrity interview program “NYC TV PROFILES” hosted by Mickey Burns will feature season 4 runner-up Bo Bice.
Bice took America by storm in season 4 with his deep baritone style of singing, while incorporating soul, country, blues and rock. In season 4 Bice was 28 years old, the limit for idol contestants, - he holds the distinction of being the oldest contestant to have progressed the farthest, eventually coming in 2nd to Carrie Underwood.
In this special edition of “NYC TV PROFILES” that will air citywide on NYC TV, channel 74 on Tuesday May 6th at 7:30 PM, Bice takes us through the “American Idol” experience from beginning to end. He also discusses his near death series of emergency intestinal surgery’s.
Currently Bo is celebrating the release of his latest album entitled “See The Light”, a project according to Bice that he’s been working on for the last 10 years.
As an added bonus, this episode also includes an un-plugged acoustic performance with Bice at his best.

Bo "Rides For A Cure"
"Platinum artists Little Big Town will take to the streets at the second annual Ride For A Cure motorcycle ride on Sunday, June 8, 2008 benefiting the T.J. Martell Foundation. The ride will kick off at the Harley-Davidson of Cool Springs and end at the future of Harley-Davidson of Columbia for a field party where Applebee’s will provide a post-ride barbecue lunch followed by a special jam session with Little Big Town and friends.

23rd ANNUAL “SALUTE TO YOUTH” BENEFIT
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheriff Leroy D. Baca
and Sheriff's Youth Foundation announced that they will be honoring Ryan
Kavanaugh, founder and CEO of Relativity Media, LLC, at its 23rd Annual "Salute to Youth" benefit on Thursday, April 24th. Ryan Kavanaugh has been a very active supporter of the Sheriff's Youth Foundation, as well as many other charities including the Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, First Star, the Art of Elysium and he is also on the board of the Jewish Television Network with board member Michael Lynton.
All proceeds from the event go to the Sheriff's Youth Foundation which
was established to raise money for underprivileged young people in Los
Angeles County. American Idol Alum Bo Bice and Dwight Yoakam will be
performing.

Bo Bice: Rocker with a heart
Bo auctions Guitar on e-bay for charity
"This guitar is a BR183 and the other one is a BR180 I used while doing acoustic shows throughout the southeast. I love these guitars very much and they have been played for many years. The merchandise salesperson noticed that they were watching from the lobby and struck up a conversation with the mother and son. Once the show ended, he told them to stay.
“Patrick the salesman set this whole thing in motion. Had it not been for his act of kindness, this wouldn’t have happened,” said Cathy Franko, Colin’s mother, whose son had the opportunity to meet Bice because of the salesperson’s efforts.
Now, fast forward to 2008 and Bice’s second concert at the Sherman Theater. “I never got the chance to thank Patrick for what he did,” Franko explains. She decided that it was time to thank him so she wrote a letter expressing her gratitude toward Patrick and the Sherman Theater for what they did for her family. She also enclosed a letter to thank Bice for his kindness.
Franko received a phone call a few weeks later from the Sherman Theater asking if her family would be available to hang out with Bice before his concert this time. They answered yes, of course.
“We were there during sound check before the show. The principal of Colin’s school knew that he was going so he told him that if he was able to get a tiger paw picture for Bo to sign that the entire fourth grade with get extra recess time,” Franko said.
Colin is now the superstar of his class after hanging out with Bo Bice for a second time.
And the young boy? As is typical of most children who’ve had celebrity encounters, young Colin will be feeling its effects for quite some time:
During this visit, they sang songs together and Colin made sure to show Bice his report card. Colin also showed Bice an important school assignment that he did. “He wrote a time line of the five greatest moments of his life and Bo was a part of that,” Colin’s mom said."

"After just returning from Afghanistan in February where Bo Bice was able to meet soldiers fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom, many of them from the TN National Guard, he was the perfect fit to perform at the dinner for the TN National Guard Conference held in Nashville, TN. Bo and his band performed an acoustic set as the 3 day conference came to an end for the TN National Guard. After the show, Bo signed autographs and mingled with the soldiers and their families."

"A benefit for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Prior to CMA Music Fest Multi-platinum selling Lonestar will help kick-off the CMA Music Festival with "Lonestar Strikes Out For The Kids," a bowling party to raise money and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The strike and spare event will be held at the Hermitage Lanes in Nashville, Tenn. on Monday, June 2, 2008 from 6-10 p.m.
Celebrities have been invited to host bowling lanes for the party, and fans attending the event have a chance to bowl with the artists. Four lucky fans' names will be drawn to bowl a game with each artist. The drawing for bowling slots will take place prior to the party, and winners names will be announced at the party. Also, in the lobby of the bowling center, a silent auction will be held throughout the evening featuring items from some of country music's biggest stars. Bo: Yes, ma'am. We just got back. We were gone for two weeks in February and we are going back later this year. By the time the wheels landed back on U.S. soil, I think we were already half way booked again. We were over there for the troops. It doesn't matter what you think about the war or the president. These people put their lives on the line every day so we can speak our mind and be free. For me, that's why I went over there. I was over there to be a fan of theirs and to thank them. That is what the trips are truly about."
Bo: "The Real Thing" wasn't really anything that I had much to do with. That was really more of an album that was put together before I came into the picture and "See the Light" was the total opposite of that. I was there from the ground floor of that. I picked the songs that I wanted on the album. It was in many ways the total opposite of "The Real Thing.""
Bo: I'm already working on a third album. I'm starting to record in May and June. Hopefully I will have that out before Christmas. I'm gonna shoot for my birthday. That would be cool."

Bo posted a blog on bobice.com letting us know that Joe Diffie asked him to sing a duet with him on his upcoming cd. Bo and Joe will be recording a duet of the Little Feat song Willin’.

Idol Camp, the only performing arts summer camp inspired and brought to you by the producers of the nation's #1 television phenomenon, "American Idol", is opening its doors for the second year with a roster full of Idol alums scheduled to make guest visits and mentor young campers.
Its 2008 line- up of former "American Idol" contestants will include Season 5 finalist Ace Young, Season 4 runner-up Bo Bice and Season 3 finalist Jon Peter Lewis among others. These artists will help instruct classes, perform during evening activities and share personal insights for campers during an intensive two-week session aimed at advancing campers skills across a wide range of disciplines.
The Ryman Auditorium was the place to be last week. “Soul Man” Sam Moore put on a spectacular show for children’s organization the Lili Claire Foundation with a bunch of his friends, including: Wynonna Judd, Travis Tritt, Lorrie Morgan and Jo Dee Messina.
Looks like Bo was invited on stage to sing too!

"Former American Idol runner-up Bo Bice and his wife, Caroline Fisher, are expecting their second child, the singer tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“I’m proud to be a dad again,” says Bice, adding that his wife is due in August. “We don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet and don’t care as long as it’s healthy and has all its fingers and toes.”"

"BO BICE: The fourth season runner-up is promoting his second album, "See the Light." Released on an independent label and available exclusively through Walmart, the CD returns Bice to his southern rocker roots.
But the album is not the only thing occupying Bice's time. "I went over to Afghanistan for 12 days with the non-profit organization Stars for Stripes." Bice performed for U.S. troops stationed in that country. He was hitting the road again after his "American Idol Extra" taping. "We're heading to Texas and Missouri, Atlantic City, New York, Pennsylvania. I'm doing some charity events for NASCAR and this summer I'm going to visit the kids at 'Idol' Camp."
The two-week session is for children aged 10-15 who get an introduction to the music industry from visiting professionals and former Idols."

Bart started honing in on his guitar skills at the ripe age of four. Along the way, he became an accomplished musician in a variety of instruments including the mandolin, banjo, dobro, bass, saxophone, fiddle and drums. His accomplishments include winning a variety of bluegrass competitions in his youth, a full scholarship from Vanderbilt’s Blair School of Music to study voice in high school, being chosen as a vocalist in the Governors School for the Arts, as well as being selected by a Tennessee panel of judges for excellence for jazz band. After graduating high school, he was recruited into the army national guard as a musician. He attended Austin Peay State University on a full scholarship where his concentration was vocal performance and string bass majors and minors in guitar performance and composition. After college, he moved to Memphis to pursue his dreams of playing the blues. While in Memphis, he became a known name and played for the likes of Ruby Wilson and Preston Shannon. He later on formed a band called Five Mississippi playing all over Beale Street, as well as other parts of Memphis, and as far south as Tunica, Clarksdale and Oxford Mississippi. He returned to Nashville in 2005 with a new feel for the blues, where he has played many studio sessions and various clubs. In addition to his current role as lead guitarist for B.B. King’s House Rockers at B.B. King’s Blues Club, he has also chalked up countless hours in the studio.

Bo donated some of the gear he used on the 2005 American Idol tour to his church. The church will be auctioning off these items with 100% of the money raised going to the New Hope Church building fund.

Truthfully, I expected more attitude. Between surpassing most of the winners of American Idol and his continued success, Bo Bice is down to earth. Very humble and cordial, Bo submitted to Ramon’s creative direction for the entire shoot. I accredit the video’s success for its honesty and organic nature. Bo is personable, approachable, and real. Contrasting with the untouchable rock star image, the video is a breath of fresh air bringing friendly warmth and unassuming honesty to an over produced music video market. I am proud of the fact that that I was given the opportunity to work with such a great artist and director and also that someone with such a gracious personality has risen to the top.

American Idol alumni often struggle with their second album. The individual artists often appease the record studios with their debut work, making as commercial an album as possible to quickly cash in on the sometimes fleeting fame that accompanies their involvement with American Idol. Bo Bice released his first album to commercial success. When it came to create his second album, Bo chose to make something more personal, something that may not be as commercially feasible as his first. The result is the recently released "See the Light." Bo stopped by not long ago to discuss his second album.

ATLANTA -- Dozens of Falcons players and various local and national celebrities gathered Monday night at Ten Pin Alley to dust off the bowling shoes and hit the lanes for a good cause.
The Atlantic Station bowling spot was transformed to a party scene as players and guests took part in the third annual Atlanta Falcons Celebrity "FootBowl" Tournament . Full Article Here.
